New Future for Children (NFC) is a local nonprofit organization based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, founded in early 2003. NFC is dedicated to providing access to higher education, vocational training, and quality supplementary education for underprivileged children and youth in both urban communities and remote areas. NFC also provides a safe and independent space to underprivileged older students who 18+ at the Midway House who would otherwise be fending for themselves. Currently, 13 scholarship students are being supported at the Midway House.
NFC offers several in-house educational programs, including 1-hour of English class and 1 hour of computer class per day. Other activities include traditional Khmer dance classes, life skills workshops, a movie class and internships. This also opens for approximately 100 underprivileged children from the nearby community. NFC also provides support to almost 300 hundred underprivileged children in a rural area.

Besides our paid staff, NFC also relies on volunteers. Every year, we welcome groups and individuals from different countries—such as Germany, Canada, France, Hong Kong and Cambodia—who support our children by helping with classes, teaching their languages, and playing games with them. In addition, NFC also welcomes individual volunteers or groups from the Netherlands who work on specific projects for the CSEP and CEP programs.
